I met the Thibodeaux family in 2017, shortly after moving to Pensacola from New Orleans. Dad contacted me to do the families yearly photos.
We decided that the perfect location to tell this part of their story would be the family’s home in Pensacola, Florida. Their huge backyard became the perfect backdrop for the photos.
I love how the kids made sure to include the family dog. She was getting older and the kids wanted her in the photos so they had beautiful pictures to remember her by. How sweet is that?
I also love how the kids have one photo they have taken every year since they were little. So we had to make sure to get that too (it’s the one where they are all laying on the ground with their heads touching).
There is nothing this child loves more than dance. Her drive, her passion, and her love of dance makes me smile. I love watching her do her thing on stage.
She loves performing, her favorite thing is performing her solos. I admire that she can get up on stage alone and put her self out there. She’s got more self confidence at ten than I have at forty-two. This year’s solo is Musical Theater and her song is Zero To Hero from Hercules. I just had to get pictures in her amazing gold sparkly costume that grandma made. So a few weeks ago we to Downtown Pensacola and had this fun photo session.
I loved every minute, she’s so much fun. We had a blast and I love how her pictures turned out. I could be biased as her mom. I also look at these and think how can she look like a teenager and a little girl all at the same time. This must be ten and I’m not sure how my momma heart will handle this stage or this getting older thing.
As much as my momma heart is breaking about how grown up she’s looking, I love capturing her at this age. Right where she is in between the world of being a kid and wanting to be grown. I will always look back on these pictures with love.
Capture your tween right where she is today. Does she love sports, dance, gymnastics? We can style her whole session around her passions. Email me – firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out this form and we can chat and create the perfect session for you and her.
The miracle of childbirth. If you think about it, it’s truly a miracle that any of us are here. The day of is full of hope, fears, dreams, joy, pain and LOVE. Capturing this as a Pensacola Birth Photographer is amazing. I was honored to be asked to capture the birth of Baby Grayson.
Grayson was born on September 23, 2017 at 4:15pm, weighing 6 lbs 7.5 oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. He was born at a local hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
I was called around 11am and told to come up to the hospital as he was on his way. We spent the day waiting and laughing.
Grayson was welcomed into the world by his parents, aunts, grandma and cousins all who LOVE him so very much.
Waiting… waiting … waiting and more waiting. Waiting is always the hard part.
It’s TIME!!!! Welcome to the world baby boy!
He’s so sweet! And so very loved.

I love Santa pictures! It doesn’t matter if the child is happy or crying there’s just something about Santa pictures that I absolutely LOVE. The little ones with their lists full of hopes and dreams. The shy ones who really want to hug him, but just can’t bring themselves to do so. The ones that are just so scared and scream. All of them are just adorable. Which is why when my friends at Northshore Parent asked me to photograph theirHoliday Tea with Santa, I said yes.
It was a great day and the perfect Southern Christmas celebration at the Maison Lafitte in late November, 2016. There was tea, hot chocolate, juice, cupcakes, cookies and other goodies. Mrs. Claus was there to greet the guest and welcome them into her home for the day. She read The Cajun Night Before Christmas as we all waiting with baited breath for Santa to arrive. Wouldn’t you know as soon as she finished reading, there was a knock on the door and it was SANTA himself. He made his way through the dining room saying hello to the children and then went outside where he met with each and every one of them. He even brought them a little gift from Little Boy Luke to take him with them.
To keep the children busy while they waited there were coloring sheets and a photobooth from Let’s Party NOLA. To keep mom busy there was a Christmas market filled with wonderful goodies from Little Boy Luke, Bon Temps, Natural NOLAS Bath and Body and more. It was a great day, and I know all the guest had a wonderful time. I know I did. Thank you to Northshore Parent for including me in your event. It was an honor!
