If you’re following the 80/20 rule for Facebook, it means you have to fill your page with more than just content from your site and promotions. Sad but true, you can’t talk about you, all the time. When I tell people this the first question they ask is “Where do I find content to post?”. There are so many places to find content and when I’m done with this post, you’re going to have more content than you need.
Follow pages in your niche or in your client’s niche. Engage with the pages often so their content shows in your feed. As you see thing that interest you, use the Facebook save feature to save the article, meme, post, video for later. When you’re scheduling content, you just pull up your save folder and BOOM content.
Watch what your friends are sharing. We have a rule that if two or more of our friends have shared something that relates to our pages, we save it and schedule it for later. You can either schedule it right then or use Facebook’s save feature.
Search Pinterest. Pinterest is a great place to find content that relates to your niche. Just search your topic and get lost in a sea of posts that pertains to practically anything and everything.
Flipboard. Facebook took away the ability to make interest based list. I was looking for a way to replace that, because I used it daily! Then Katy introduced me to Flipboard and OMG! It’s wonderful. You can follow things that interest you or that are in your niche and then Flipboard will curate blog posts and articles for you on that topic. It’s great and I was able to get a week’s worth of content in minutes.
The key to all of this is finding and sharing great content that you know your audience is going to LOVE.
Where do you find content for your Facebook Page?
